In honor of the thinker, curator, author, and teacher, the Cathrin Pichler Prize will be awarded this year for the sixth time to a student of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna who - in the spirit of Cathrin Pichler - is concerned with thinking specifically about artistic methods and practices as a contribution and intervention to a scientific discourse.

The award includes prize money in the amount of 2,500 euros, provided by the City of Vienna. The certificate will be awarded during a ceremony.

Students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as well as graduates who completed their studies at the Academy in the summer semester 2017* or later are eligible to submit applications.
